Buses celebrating Dippy the dinosaur’s visit to Norwich Cathedral are helping to spread the word about the Cathedral's prehistoric guest.
Dippy, the Natural History Museum’s iconic Diplodocus cast, has taken up residence at the Cathedral until 30 October 2021 for the final stop on his nationwide touring exhibition Dippy on Tour: A Natural History Adventure.
A series of First Eastern Counties buses can currently be seen on routes across Norwich city centre decorated with Dippy the dinosaur - and one of the buses with Dippy on board paid a special trip to the Cathedral Close.
Dippy on Tour: A Natural History Adventure is being brought to Norwich Cathedral and visitors across the UK by the Natural History Museum in partnership with the Garfield Weston Foundation and supported by Dell EMC and Williams & Hill. Norwich Cathedral is the eighth and final stop on the tour and Barratt and Cooke is the regional sponsor for the exhibition.
The free Dippy on Tour exhibition is open Monday to Saturday until Saturday 30 October 2021.
The opening times are 10am-4pm Monday to Friday, 9.30am-5.30pm on Saturdays, and on Friday evenings from 7pm until 9pm.
As Dippy’s home is also a busy working Cathedral, there will be days when the usual opening times may vary.
Visitors are advised to check the important notices page on this website for the most up to date Dippy on Tour opening times.
